TrustChannel (betechnical.in) helps people check whether a Telegram channel is really run by who it claims to be. This page explains what we collect and why.

Logging in with Telegram

When you log in with Telegram, Telegram tells us your Telegram user ID, name, username and profile picture. We use them to keep you logged in and to know which channels you have verified. We never see your phone number, chats or channels.

Channel owners

To verify a channel we read its public details from Telegram. If you use our bot, Telegram tells us who added it, and we ask Telegram who created the channel; the bot has no permissions and reads no messages.

Linking YouTube with Google

When you continue with Google, we ask for read-only access to your YouTube account (youtube.readonly). We use it once, at sign-in, to read your channel's ID, name, handle, profile picture, subscriber and video counts, and creation date. We do not store your Google access token, and we never post, edit or read anything private.

We store your YouTube channel's public details and show them on the pages of the Telegram channels you verified. That is the purpose of the service. You can revoke our access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Voting and reporting

To vote or report a channel you sign in with Google. We receive your Google account ID, name, email and profile picture (scopes openid email profile), and use them only to allow one vote per account per channel. Your email is never shown. If you add a comment to a report, it is shown publicly with your first name and last initial (e.g. "Rahul S."), and the channel's verified owner can reply publicly. You can delete your comment at any time.

Visitors

Looking up a channel needs no account. We fetch public information about Telegram channels (name, description, subscriber count, picture) from Telegram and cache it. Our hosting providers keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security for up to 30 days.

Sharing

We don't sell personal data or share it with advertisers.

Deleting your data

To delete your data, email professionalbiren@gmail.com and we will delete everything within 30 days.
